No. SwipeSort only organizes photos into albums and flags items for deletion. Original photo data, metadata, and EXIF information are never modified.
Albums created in SwipeSort are stored in your iOS photo library. If you have iCloud Photos enabled, your albums will sync across your devices automatically via Apple’s iCloud — this syncing is controlled by Apple, not SwipeSort.
Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → SwipeSort and tap Cancel Subscription. You will retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period. For refunds, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Open SwipeSort, go to Settings → Restore Purchases and tap Restore. Your subscription will be verified with Apple and Pro features will be re-enabled automatically.
If you enable Sort Reminders in Settings, SwipeSort will send a local notification on Saturday evenings reminding you to sort your photos. No data leaves your device — reminders are scheduled entirely on-device by iOS.
Double-tap any photo while swiping to open the full-screen viewer. From there you can pinch to zoom, pan around, and examine the photo in detail before deciding what to do with it.
Sort Stats is a Pro-exclusive screen that tracks your sorting activity: swipes today, this week, all-time total, and your current daily streak. Access it from the Settings tab.
Troubleshooting
App is not showing my photos or videos
Make sure SwipeSort has Full Access to your photo library:
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap SwipeSort.
- Tap Photos.
- Select Full Access.
Photos or videos are loading slowly
If iCloud Photos is enabled, some media may be stored in the cloud and needs to download first. Ensure you have a stable internet connection. You can also open the iOS Photos app and let it sync before using SwipeSort.
Swipe limit reached unexpectedly
The daily limit of 100 swipes resets at midnight local time each day. You can earn up to +50 bonus swipes per day by watching rewarded video ads — tap the Earn Swipes card on the Albums tab. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited swipes.
Pro features not showing after purchase
Go to Settings → Restore Purchases in the app. If the issue persists, ensure you’re signed in to the same Apple ID used for the purchase, then try again. If you still have trouble, contact us below.
Undo button not appearing
The undo button appears immediately after a swipe action and disappears once you perform another action. Act quickly if you need to reverse a swipe.
Can’t delete an album
System albums like Favorites and Recently Deleted cannot be deleted. All custom albums you created can be removed by tapping the trash icon next to them in the Albums tab.
Video playback issues
If a video doesn’t play in SwipeSort, check that the video file has finished downloading from iCloud. In the iOS Photos app, tap the video and wait for the download to complete, then return to SwipeSort.
Tips & Best Practices
- Create albums before sorting — set up your destination albums first so you can organize in one fluid session without interruption.
- Use descriptive album names — clear names like “Vacation 2025” or “Screenshots” make it easier to find photos later.
- Sort in themed batches — focus on one category at a time for faster, more consistent decisions.
- Swipe up to skip, not delete — if you’re unsure about a photo, swipe up to skip it. Come back to skipped photos in a later session.
- Double-tap to zoom — check photo quality before deleting by double-tapping to open the full-screen viewer.
- Earn bonus swipes daily — watch up to 5 rewarded ads per day for +10 swipes each if you’re on the free tier.
- Review Recently Deleted — periodically check the iOS Recently Deleted album before photos are permanently removed after 30 days.
- Use bulk select for fast cleanup — long-press in albums to select multiple items for moving or deleting at once.
- Pull to refresh — pull down on the Albums tab to refresh your photo library after making changes externally.
