Markdown Export converts your document to PDF, PNG, real Word (.docx), HTML, and ePub 3.0. PDF and PNG are free; DOCX, HTML, ePub, batch export, and paper/margin selection are part of Markdown Export Pro.

Yes. The PDF pipeline now paginates long documents manually using html2canvas + jsPDF, with a per-page yield to the runloop so the UI stays responsive. Documents that previously hung on export — Testing.md, AppPreviewScript.md, anything spanning many pages — should now complete normally. If you do hit a problem, please email us with the file so we can reproduce.

Yes. Click Open .md in the sidebar, drag a .md file onto the editor, or double-click a .md file in Finder to open it in Markdown Export. Pro users can also run Batch Export to turn a folder of markdown files into a folder of PDFs in one pass.

Open the Paper row in the sidebar to pick US Letter, A4, or US Legal with a Narrow / Normal / Wide margin preset. Paper size and margins are part of Markdown Export Pro.

Yes. Inline math goes in $...$ or \(...\), display math in $$...$$ or \[...\] — rendered with the bundled KaTeX. Fenced ```mermaid code blocks become Mermaid diagrams. Both render in the preview and are baked into PDF, HTML, DOCX, and ePub exports.

Twelve export themes ship in the app, grouped by use: GitHub, Whitepaper, Report, Technical Docs, Minimal, Academic, Book, Modern, Letterhead, Resume, Dark, and the default. The default theme is free; the other eleven are part of Pro.

Markdown Export Pro is sold via Apple StoreKit as a Monthly subscription, a Yearly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Free users get five export credits up front; Pro is unlimited. Tap Restore Purchases in the upgrade window after signing in to the same Apple ID that bought Pro.

Yes. The dark-mode toggle (◑) at the top of the sidebar flips the editor and sidebar between light and dark, and the preference persists across launches. The export theme is independent — use the Dark export theme if you want a dark-styled PDF too.

No — Markdown Export is an export tool, not an editor manager. Open your .md file from disk, edit it here, export to your chosen format, and keep saving your source in whatever editor you prefer. Nothing is written back to your original file without your action.

Fully. All rendering libraries (marked, html2canvas, jsPDF, highlight.js, KaTeX, Mermaid, JSZip) are bundled inside the app, so the editor and every export format work without a network. The only network use is Apple StoreKit when you choose to buy or restore Pro.
