How do I turn FolderFlow on?
FolderFlow works through a Quick Look extension. Open System Settings ▸ General ▸ Login Items & Extensions ▸ Quick Look and switch FolderFlow on. Then select any folder or archive in Finder and press the Space bar — you'll see a rich, browsable preview.
Which files can it preview?
Folders, plus .zip, .tar, .tar.gz/.tgz,
and .gz archives. You can browse the contents, expand nested folders, sort by
name/kind/size/date, and copy paths — all without extracting anything.
❓Troubleshooting
Pressing Space doesn't show the new preview
- Confirm FolderFlow is enabled under Login Items & Extensions ▸ Quick Look.
- Quit and reopen Finder (or log out and back in) so macOS reloads the extension.
- Make sure you're pressing Space on a folder or supported archive — not a file type macOS already previews itself.
Open / Reveal in Finder doesn't do anything from the preview
That's expected. Apple's Quick Look sandbox doesn't permit launching or revealing files from inside a preview, so FolderFlow offers Copy Path instead. Open the companion app to use full Open / Reveal there.
I upgraded to Pro but still see Free
Open the FolderFlow app, go to About ▸ Membership, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still doesn't unlock, email us below and we'll sort it out fast.

What does Pro unlock?
The Space-bar preview is free. Pro unlocks the full file list (no row limit), deep auto-expansion of nested folders, showing hidden files, and revealing package contents — plus every future Pro feature. Available as a one-time Lifetime purchase or a Yearly plan with a 3-day free trial.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open App Store ▸ your account ▸ Subscriptions, or from the app: About ▸ Membership ▸ Manage. A Lifetime purchase never expires — nothing to cancel.

🔒The short version
FolderFlow does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no account to create, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no servers. The app makes no network connections at all. Everything you preview stays on your device.
📦What FolderFlow does
FolderFlow adds a rich Quick Look preview for folders and archives in Finder. When you
select a folder or a .zip, .tar, .gz (and similar)
file and press the Space bar, FolderFlow reads its contents locally so it can show
you a clean, browsable list — names, kinds, sizes, and dates — without opening or extracting
anything. That reading happens on demand, in memory, and nothing about it is recorded or
sent anywhere.

FolderFlow requests no Full Disk Access, camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photos. It uses macOS security-scoped access only for the items you explicitly choose to preview.

FolderFlow Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing and receipt validation are handled by Apple — FolderFlow never sees your name, email, or payment details. Your purchase is governed by Apple's standard license terms and Apple's Privacy Policy.

FolderFlow is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children. Because there is no data on any server, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf — removing the app removes everything it stored.
